i think that talking face to face is much more persinal. I do agree with “ness” thou. people nowadays are so jugemental, thinking them a ugly because they have a mole. althou things like texting can alow someone to not be juged, face to face lets somebody to relate to you.

I’m writing an argument on computer screens vs face to face contact as the main means of communication and you pointed out a lot of things I have never thought about. Before I read your article I was arguing “for” face to face, now I’m arguing against it. I just wanted to say thanks for helping me make my essay KICKASS!

You might apply these points to the SMS-texting / phone call divide as well. I know plenty of people who prefer texting to phone calls, because it gives them certain other advantages (such as the time to reflect, as you discuss). In such cases, it seems like an information-control strategy..

With the commencement of multiuser environments on the internet, which were constructed so that the interface represents the presence of others and designed as a virtual gathering place. These online environments have been constructed as resemblance of the physical city.
