The research seminar seeks to develops a post-Deleuzian approach to the study of the control society. Building initially on the interpretations of Foucault and Deleuze in surveillance studies as well as hypertext theory (including the Internet of Things), the course readings focus on the appropriateness of a new set of theoretical concepts on how control is managed in the info-sphere, e.g., through ‘protocol.’
