Phone remediation is amazing!
yeah well done Twan and Roman. It was a nice discussion to listen to! I also liked the book btw. It was very interesting to see how these fan cultures work. So everyone: buy the book!
I personaly think the book is fine, however the compilation of essays (which date no later than 2004) are written mostly from a television-studies perspective.
Oh that is true, it is written from a tv studies perspective, but I thought it was interesting to read about fan cultures and to see how fans use the object of there desire (?). For us it may be interesting to see how fan cultures have changed since the internet has been around. (peer to peer, participatory culture, oppositional readings etc.)
