Hi and hello I am twenty three years old and for the past four years I have studied sociology and media studies in three different places: Stockholm, UK and Hong Kong. I graduated at the University of Essex in July and after that spent a few weeks interning at Global Grind in NY. Now I am here at the UvA and Im just about exploring the fundamentals of my degree, so far so nice. Other than this I was born and raised in Stockholm Sweden , to Eritrean parents. Stockholm being an immensly integrated city, I grew up enjoying a diverse cultral atmosphere. I travel a lot , I eat even more and I love social netwoking platforms; its beauty lays in the opportunity it gives people to exploit a public space introducing individual self projections. ibtisam

The film The Social Network was directed by  West Wing creator Aaron Sorkin, and David Fincher recognized  producer of  films such as Fight Club and Panic Room. The two men set out to make a film reflecting the establishment of  social media wonder child Facebook. The movie portrays Mark Zuckenbergs  College years at Harvard University conceiving Facebook together with his co founder Eduardo Saverin. Although the film is focusing on the creation of Facebook , Mark Zuckerberg or any other of the founders have shared no relation with the making of this film. The story is set out based on the Accidental Billionaires (2009) book by Ben Mezrich, which on the other had been consulted by co founder Eduardo Saverine. The book by Mezrich was  the original  account for the screenplay of the  film, although heavily criticized for giving  fictitious representations, allowing  made up characters and dialogues. It has been argued as projecting Mark Zuckerberg in an unfavorable light.

The  plot of the film looks not only at the rise of Facebook , but essentially the legal trials and processes that followed. Saverine whom originally had a thirty percent share , was after being slowly excluded by Zuckerberg and Napster creator Sean Parker , left with a meager 0.03 percent. Parker whom later in  the process  had joined in as the president  of Facebook, begins to manage the site together with Zuckerberg and other founder Dustin Moskovitz, setting off one of the many legal processes taking part against Zuckerberg and Facebook. One which in the end leaves Eduardo Saverin with a settlement allowing him instead five percent as well as reimbursing his title as Facebook co founder.

The film has recieved great appraisal from critics and is suggested a cult film, as it documents one of the greatest creations within our online social lives. The film is casted with none other than our pop-darling Justin Timberlake playing the role as Napster founder Sean Parker as well as Jesse Eisenberg and his almost incriminatingly similar features, playing Mark Zuckerberg. Eduardo Saverin is played by Andrew Garfield, and  also featured in the film as Zuckerberg ex girlfriend Erica ,  is Rooney Mara seen most recently in horror film Nightmare on Elm Street (2010). The movie had its US release on the 1st of October, and its online release probably earlier:) Enjoy!
